Original 1920's dress created with authentic Victorian lace. Size Uk 14 (US 12, Eu 42)
This unusual dress was created in the 1920's from Victorian era Brussels lace. It was handmade by a WW1 war widow from her Grandmother's lace, and dyed this unusual bluey grey as the convention of the time dictated one couldn't wear white for a second wedding. A true one off with a fascinating history.
The lace has been artfully preserved and could be re-modelled again.
With a drop waist, cap sleeves and glass bugle beads on the bodice, this dress is typical of the period. Ideal for a Bloomsbury look!
Shown here with a blue slip, see the final image for a sense of the true colour without the slip. Other slips available from £50.
